Conflict between the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) fighters and the Iraqi army could have "a major impact on European economies if it spreads to the south of the country, and even more so if Syria and Iran become involved", notes ABC.
The daily reports that escalation of the conflict has been accompanied by a 5% increase in the price of oil, which is enough to “endanger emerging recovery” in the EU.
