"Here you go, kids!"

Less than a week after the European Council decided to spend €6bn over two years in the fight against youth unemployment, Angela Merkel will meet stakeholders for a conference in Berlin on July 3 on how to "support the activities of young people in Europe."

The meeting will bring labour and social affairs ministers together with European social partners and employment specialists to compare best practice and consider how best to use the European funds. The day will be wrapped up with around 20 European leaders meeting at the German Chancellery.
