Femke van Esch (b. 1973) is Assistant Professor of European Integration at the Utrecht School of Governance (USG) in the Netherlands. She is an expert in European economic and monetary policy-making, EU leadership, and comparative cognitive mapping (CCM). In her PhD thesis she studied the role of leaders’ beliefs in the establishment of the European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). She is also a project leader at the “Whose Europe? Our Europe” research project.
