At the Berlin International Film Festival, the Bosniac Roma actor won a Silver Bear for best actor for his performance in An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker, a docudrama by Danis Tanovic, in which Mujić plays himself. The film was also awarded the festival's Grand Jury Prize.
The Golden Bear for best film was awarded to Child’s Pose, by Romanian Călin Peter Netzer.
