Headlining with "Left-wing nail bomb is ammunition for the right," Tageszeitung reports on incident in which a homemade explosive seriously injured two policemen at an anti-austerity protest, which took place in Berlin on 12 June. The explosion of the device, which the Interior Minister described as "an attack on our democracy," has prompted politicians and certain newspapers to speculate about a resurgence of left-wing terrorism. "What madness!" exclaims the alternative left-wing daily. "Someone sets off an explosive in a crowd, and the focus of the debate suddenly shifts from the injustice of the austerity plan to violence on the left. Bravo!"
