On May 18, the final stage of the 2019 Eurovision song contest is set to take place in Tel Aviv (Israel). Artists from 16 countries (out of 41 who took part in the preliminary round) will participate. Much followed in Europe and beyond, the competition has aroused growing controversy because of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the revamp of violence in the region.
