"Fire-bombers sentenced to a minimum of 22 years, but Klaus claims punishment is over-the-top," headlines Mladá Fronta DNES. The daily devotes its front-page to a report on proceedings at the Ostrava court, which found four young men guilty of an arson attack on the home of a Roma family in Vítkov in the east of the country. The attack, which caused serious burns to a two-year-old child, was universally condemned. But the verdict has nonetheless sparked controversy in the Czech Republic, where many people agree with the view expressed by Vaclav Klaus, who describes the sentence as "extremely harsh."
