‘Cameron threatens Spain’

Amid ongoing tensions over Gibraltar, the UK government said on August 12 it was prepared to take “unprecedented” legal action at the EU level in response to Spanish customs authorities tightening border controls.

Fabian Picardo, Chief Minister of Gibraltar, challenged Spain in a press release to refer the issues involving the limits of British Gibraltar Territorial Waters and Gibraltar’s right to self-determination to the relevant international tribunals, notes ABC.
