Carlo Bastasin

Italian journalist Carlo Bastasin, who did his PhD on international monetary theory, worked as a correspondent for Il Sole 24 Ore in Berlin and Frankfurt from 1989 to 1999. After a stint as deputy editor-in-chief at La Stampa, he rejoined Il Sole as a leading editorialist. He is the author of Destra e sinitstra - politiche chiuse, economia aperta (Right and Left: Closed Politics, Open Economy), Università Bocconi, 2007.
