‘Criminals from 60 countries in Portugal’s gangs’

According to a Europol report on organised crime, there are 3,600 gangs operating in the EU, and 70 per cent of these operate in multiple countries with members from across the world.

Among the gangs detected in Portugal, there are groups which have activities in more than 35 countries, indicating that they have "international criminal cooperation, mobility and range," the report adds.
