Prime Minister David Cameron's former director of communications, and ex-News of the World editor Andy Coulson has been charged by the Scottish judiciary with perjury, as part of an investigation into evidence at the perjury trial of Scottish socialist politician Tommy Sheridan in 2010. At the same, UK culture minister Jeremy Hunt is appearing before a commission on media ethics to answer charges of collusion with press baron Rupert Murdoch's News International.
