With three weeks to go before a crucial election for European democracy, will the far-right parties and formations that are flourishing in a growing number of Member States take the lion's share of votes? What will the consequences be for the life of the continent, and for the EU's foreign policy, especially regarding support for Ukraine? What are the links with Putin's Russia and the disinformation campaigns at work across Europe?

We discussed this with Dutch researcher and political scientist Cas Mudde, a specialist in the far right whose excellent analyses we regularly publish. In his latest article, Mudde deciphers the role played by the media in normalising far-right narratives. What are the avenues for a different, more pertinent approach? Why are so many of the parties involved in the election campaign so open to far-right discourse?

An event moderated by Catherine André and Gian-Paolo Accardo.
