On the same day that Ampelmann, the figure that appeared on traffic lights in the former GDR was 50 years old, Slovakia finally approved the strengthening of the European Financial Stabilisation Fund. A great deal of pressure was exerted on Slovakia by its eurozone partners, with Germany in the lead, in order not to jeopardize the rescue of Greece.
