Born in 1967, Pavel Kohout is a Czech economist and author. Since 1993, he has worked in the financial divisions of several companies and has been a consultant to governments. A member of NERV (the National Economic Council of the Government), he is one of the architects of the current pension reform plans.
His articles are regularly published in Lidové noviny, MF Dnes, Hospodářské noviny, Právo as well as Respekt and Reflex magazines. He is also a member of the board at the Transparency International non-governmental organisation.
