On 31 January at 11PM GMT the United Kingdom is due to leave the European Union, 47 years after its accession, and almost 48 months after the referendum that marked this choice.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will thus have won his bid to "get Brexit done". He will be able, at the end of the period of negotiations on future relations with the EU, to lead "Global Britain" towards a bright future, starting with trade agreements with the United States.
