Danish companies are increasingly selling "know-how" abroad, reports the daily Berlingske Tidende. According to the Confederation of Danish Industries, exports of this kind have increased by 60% over the last three years and are now worth approximately 10 billion euros. Construction, architecture, agriculture, health care, ecology and information technology top the list of fields in which foreign customers are requesting consultancy services. Film and video-game technology is another growing market.

As Professor Philipp Schröder explains in the columns of the daily, know-how and breaking technologies are taking on a more important role in the Danish economy, and this trend has been reinforced by globalization and the use of the Internet. "Twenty years ago, a German company would never have thought of seeking advice from a Danish engineer.”
