Leon de Winter (b. 1954) is a Dutch writer and filmmaker. In addition to novels – his latest is called Het recht op terugkeer - "The Right of Return" (2008), he regularly writes political essays. He is known for his radical stance on Islamism and his endorsement of the 2003 war in Iraq. He lives in Amsterdam and Los Angeles.
