"EU slams Danish points system,” headlines Jyllands-Posten, explaining that MEPs in the European parliament’s socialist grouping got together in Budapest and signed adeclaration condemning, among other things, the recent tightening-up of Danish immigration law. Under the new law, family reunification rights and residency for immigrants will be subject to a new points system according to education level, language skills etc. The declaration urges the EU “to take firm and urgent action against the forces sowing more and more hatred and division in society”.
