‘No more fear and shame’

Polish victims of paedophile priests are setting up a foundation to bring their molesters to justice, ban them from contact with children, lift the statute of limitations on paedophilia prosecutions and seek compensation for victims from the Catholic Church.

The Have No Fear foundation – a reference to a quote from former pope, John Paul II – is currently being registrated and will be the first organisation to help paedophile priest victims in Poland.

Dutch journalist Ekke Overbeek, in his book Have fear. The victims of paedophilia in the Polish Church speak, estimates that in the last 10 years some 30 Polish priests have been convicted of child molestation.
