
According to two defence community sources, the NSA has an outpost in Vienna, reports Die Presse. However, the daily explains that the nature and scope of collaboration between Austrian intelligence services and the American National Security Agency is not yet known, because the Austrian Defence Minister has refused to comment on this issue.
Now it will be up to the parliamentary subcommittee on military intelligence to examine this question, points out the newspaper, which adds —
Perhaps the military will be more willing to give information to parliament [than to the press].
