UK Foreign Secretary William Hague denied accusations that the UK listening station, American Prism intelligence programme which circumvented the law.

At a meeting with US counterpart John Kerry in Washington on June 12, Mr Hague sought to draw a line under the claims, saying that the intelligence sharing relationship in both countries was based on a "framework of law".
