Richard David Precht (b. 1964) is a philosopher, writer, and essayist for various German newspapers, including the weekly Die Zeit. He gained fame for his popular science books, especially Who Am I – And If So, How Many?, an introduction to philosophy with the latest findings in neuroscience, which has sold 1 million copies and been translated into 23 languages.
