Published in Switzerland's financial capital, centre-right in orientation, the NZZ is read in all German speaking countries. Established in 1780, "The Zurich New Journal"'s original objective was to gather "news from the best French, English, Italian, Dutch and German newspapers, as well as from special correspondents, and to print it as quickly as possible, even faster than our neighbours." To this day, international news remains one of its strengths.
The NZZ website is a veritable data base - in addition to online content, over a hundred themed press dossiers bring together articles from both the print and web editions.
