The Welt am Sonntag ("The World on Sunday") is the Sunday edition of Berlin daily Die Welt, which is owned by the Springer publishing house. It was founded in 1948, two years after Die Welt, with its own independent editorial staff and features long magazine articles and reports. Like all the newspapers of the Welt group it generally presents a conservative point of view.
