Actor James Gandolfini, famed for his role as the Italian-American "godfather" mafia don Tony Soprano in the television series The Sopranos, died on June 19 in Rome, aged 51 – the day after the conclusion of a G8 meeting largely dedicated to the fight against tax evasion.
