Gli eurodeputati di Bruxelles e la transumanza a Strasburgo

Questo ci costerà una fortuna…

Il 20 novembre gli eurodeputati hanno adottato con 483 voti favorevoli, 141 contrari e 34 astenuti una risoluzione secondo cui "il Parlamento europeo risulterebbe più efficace, più efficiente in termini di costi e più rispettoso dell'ambiente se fosse situato in un'unica località". Secondo Le Soir

la transumanza tra le due città - distanti 435 km - di migliaia di deputati, funzionari, giornalisti e traduttori costa ogni anno 150 milioni di euro e provoca l'emissione di 19mila tonnellate di CO2.
Il quotidiano ricorda che
Il Parlamento europeo ha sede a Strasburgo, ma di fatto solo 12 sessioni plenarie all'anno si svolgono là. Il resto del tempo i deputati lo passano a Bruxelles, nelle commissioni e nei loro gruppi politici.
