Dutch PM Mark Rutte will “be in a quandary” when he meets the Russian President Vladimir Putin in Amsterdam today, observes the daily.

“They will first shake hands, after which Rutte will say in a friendly way that Russia and the Netherlands earn billions of euros thanks to each other, and that this is needed during these times of crisis. Then the conversation will get more complicated,” writes the newspaper.

In Rutte’s “breast pocket” is a to-do list of issues that Members of Parliament and human right organisations have demanded he raise with the president. They want him talk about gay rights in Russia, the human rights situation and the position of NGOs. “When will Rutte take out his list?” wonders De Volkskrant.
