Nato a Ludwigshafen nel 1939, Rainer Hachfeld è un drammaturgo e vignettista tedesco. Dopo aver studiato arte a Berlino ha cominciato la sua carriera di disegnatore nel 1966 per lo Spandauer Volksblatt, per poi passare a EXTRA-Blatt. Ha collaborato anche con Stern e Der Abend. Dal 1990 lavora per il quotidiano socialista Neues Deutschland.
