Born in 1944, Vincent Browne is a legend in Irish journalism. In 1977, he helped launched the now defunct Magillmagazine, still fondly remembered for its 70's heyday when its probing investigate journalism was without equal in the Irish press. From 1983 to 1994 he was editor of the Sunday Tribune. In recent years he has been a columnist with The Irish Times and the Sunday Business Post, in addition to presenting a nightly debate and press round-up on Irish television. He was also responsible for the launch ofVillage magazine in 2004.
