The Miro Cerar Party (SMC), created by the lawyer Miro Cerar on 2 June, has won the snap general elections on 13 July, obtaining 34.61 per cent of votes convicted of corruption) Prime minister Janez Janša’s Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) obtained 20.69 per cent of votes and Alenka Bratušek’Alliance (ZaAB), led by the outgoing PM, 4.34 per cent.
The Slovenian daily believes the elections tell that
for the second year in a row Slovenian voters seem to be decided to break up traditional parties: almost half of the seats in the Parliament now belong to recently created parties.
