Average Scottish tax revenues per person exceeded those of the UK as a whole each year during the last 30 years when a proportion of tax from North Sea oil and gas is included, according to a new Scottish government report to be released on April 12.
Scots paid an average of £10,700 (€12,600) per person last year compared to an average of £9,000 for each person in the UK as a whole.
The report, published by Scottish National Party majority government, is one of several documents aiming to establish Scotland’s economic situation ahead of an independence referendum in 2014.
