Amid corruption scandals and faltering public support, PM Donald Tusk made “far-reaching” changes to his cabinet on November 20, including the appointment of former ING Bank chief economist Mateusz Szczurek as finance minister.
Meanwhile, regional development minister Elżbieta Bieńkowska has been promoted to the role of deputy PM and will head a new ministry, which combines her existing responsibilities with the department of transport.
