The winners of the third LIBEX 2021 international satirical cartoon competition, organised by the Euro-Mediterranean LIBREXPRESSION Centre at the Giuseppe Di Vagno Foundation, were announced on Sunday 26 September. Organised in collaboration with Cartooning for Peace and Voxeurop, the competition featured 160 cartoonists from 55 countries on the topic of "Cancel Culture" and political correctness, and the threats to democracy and freedom of expression posed by censorship and self-censorship.

The award ceremony for the three winners took place during the 17th edition of the Lectorinfabula Festival in Conversano (Southern Italy). The winners were chosen by an international jury of cartoonists and journalists.

The first prize went to Tom Janssen, from the Netherlands (in the photo by Gianpaolo Mastronardi), the second to Elena Ospina (Colombia) and the third to Marco De Angelis (Italy).
