The European Commissioner for Digital Agenda, Neelie Kroes, presented plans on September 11 for a single telecommunications market, which will be more than welcome in Croatia, notes Polsovni Dnevnik.
The newspaper explains that customers of Croatian operators have yet to benefit from reduced roaming charges introduced in the EU on July 1, the day when Croatia officially joined the Union.
Mobile phone calls from Croatia to other EU countries can cost up to twice as much as the maximum tariff recommended by the European Commission. Croatian operators insist that the reductions will have no impact on calls of this kind, but only on calls from foreign countries.
