Who wants to be a journalist anymore?

Journalism may be touted as a heroic pursuit, but working conditions undermine young talent and career prospects are scarce. Journalists talk about panic attacks in newsrooms, early career experiences and the changing face of their profession.

This discussion was inspired by Paulina Januszewska’s book Bullshit journalism, whose excerpt has just been published in Eurozine. It was recorded at the 32nd European Meeting of Cultural Journals in Warsaw on 12 November 2024, which took place at Warsaw’s Palac Financowo, that is, the Palace of Finance.
