A new amendment to the anti-discrimination law will facilitate the recruitment of Roma social workers to work in Roma ghettos, and boost Roma students’ chances of obtaining university places.
According to the Slovak Ministry of Labour, around 200,000 Roma are living in 700 ghettos in the country.
