In its editorial, the daily writes that US spying —

… on the embassies of its European allies and offices of the EU is a potent symbol of the weakness of the Old Continent. […] Europe appears unwilling even to conceive of the idea of “digital sovereignty,” even though it has become a vital aspect state power. And one which has definitively imposed itself as the major international ethical, political, and economic concern of our era.
