With week left to run before the summit in Vilnius where the European Union and Ukraine may still sign an association agreement, there is a “shortage of EU flags” in the country, reports Den.

In the wake of the theft of a European flag from outside the town hall in the eastern city of Soumy, the newspaper quotes the municipality’s public relations manager, Irina Diadenko, who affirms that “European flags are very much in fashion.”

Den also spoke to flag makers who reported an increase in demand for the European emblem, which is particularly being bought by private citizens.
