replayVideo Cartoons and freedom of the press

Live | Who’s laughing now?

A year ago, at the end of the annus horribilis that followed Russia's invasion of Ukraine, we wondered whether we would still be able to laugh in 2023. The year now drawing to a close looks like a kind of encore. One wonders where press cartoonists find their inspiration in the face of natural disasters, unending war in Ukraine, a new one in the Middle East, and the rise of the radical right.

An event moderated by Catherine André and Gian-Paolo Accardo, in English.
