Foreign sales of Spanish products increased by 6.8 per cent between September 2012 and September 2013 to reach €175bn, reports Expansión.
Capital goods, food, and chemical and automobile products account for 65 per cent of exports, points out the daily, which adds that, in just one year, the Spanish trade deficit has been cut by 58 per cent, and now stands at €11bn.

External demand (through exports and tourism), which has played a crucial role in ending the crisis, has now reached record levels: a treasure that should be guarded and strengthened so that it can contribute to changing the growth model in Spain.
