On March 15, 1848, the Hungarian uprising against the Habsburg Empire began in Pozsony, the provisional capital of the Kingdom of Hungary (now Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia).
The conservative daily commemorates the 165th anniversary of this event with an image of the parliamentary session, which launched the revolt.
For the newspaper, the Orbán government’s policy of opposing "European diktats" highlights the contemporary relevance of "the unity of the nation in its fight for independence" — an expression that is often used by the current government to describe its "unorthodox" approach to the economy and its policy towards the EU.
