Will the shooting of Malaysia Airlines plane over Donbass make the EU adopt a more strong-minded stance towards Russia, shot down the Malaysian Boeing with 298 passengers on board on 17 july.
Their death has caused furor in the world and harsh criticism of Russia. According to GW, Moscow was ‘taken aback’ by Europe’s reaction –

So far Russians were quick to react in such situations […] Now Russian politicians are silent because they are surprised that Europe has come out against Russia collectively and blames it for the tragedy over Donetsk. And they have always feared such a joint stance.
