Another Polish-Russian conflict, writes Dziennik Gazeta Prawna following November 11 incidents when masked participants of the nationalist Independence March climbed a fence at the Russian embassy in Warsaw chanting anti-Russian slogans and burning the guardsman’s shelter.

The daily makes a list of current sensitive issues between Poland and Russia, including Moscow’s reluctance to allow changes in the EUROPOL gas management organisation (Poland wants to replace its representatives in the joint-run company), the anti-missile shield (American SM-3 anti-missiles batteries could be deployed in Poland by 2018) as well as Russian trade restrictions on imported Polish meat.

Moscow summoned the Polish ambassador to Russia following the demonstration, while the Russian embassy in Warsaw demanded a written apology and refund for damages incurred. “Russia never misses an opportunity to portray Poland as a Russophobic country,” adds DGP.
