Years come and go and no one is like another, except perhaps in its unpredictability. For Voxeurop, 2022 has been relentless. The grim war in Ukraine was an inevitable centrepiece of our coverage, and included our literary series Archipelago Ukraine. Another highlight was our major investigation into the “green” financing of the tyre giant Michelin.
For much of the world, 2022 has been filled with tragedy and turmoil. At Voxeurop, we have tried our best to keep you abreast of it all. And every week, we endeavour to report on the most essential news through a cartoon that’s beautifully drawn, funny or poignant (or all three, preferably).
Here we have selected eleven key events that featured in one of Voxeurop’s cartoons of the week. However, instead of highlighting a single artist like we did in 2021, this time we entrusted the selection to our members by means of a poll. Here is 2022 in cartoons as curated by Voxeurop members.
